2. How Are GlobalSubmit Applications Priced?

GlobalSubmit offers three forms of software license pricing - subscription, perpetual, and OnDemand.  We offer single or multi-year subscription licenses.  Costs are allocated on a per seat basis.  We also offer perpetual licenses for those who wish to purchase our applications outright.  And finally, we offer an OnDemand program for users who wish to rent our applications on a one-time only basis.

5. Is GlobalSubmit Compatible With Leading Publishing and Content Management Systems?

Yes.  GlobalSubmit applications use the published XML from your publishing system as input for GlobalSubmit VALIDATE.  However, there is no direct link to any publishing technology at this time.  From a content management perspective, GlobalSubmit REVIEW is designed to allow users to navigate eCTD submissions.  While there is no direct link available at this time, our software development roadmap includes plans for tighter integration in the future.  At present, we offer a compatible content management solution through our partner organizations.

7. What are XForms and why are they important to me?

XForms is an XML application that represents the next generation of forms for the Web. Their importance lies in their ability to separate presentation from content which facilitates reuse, strong typing and ultimately reduces the number of "round-trips" made to the server by traditional forms applications.  Furthermore, XForms offer device independence and a reduced need for scripting.

Forms are an important part of the Web and are used extensively throughout the submissions process.  As such, they will continue to be the primary means for enabling interactive Web applications. Web applications and electronic commerce solutions have sparked the demand for better Web forms with richer interactions. XForms 1.0 is the response to this demand.  XForms provides a new platform-independent markup language for online interaction between a person (through an XForms Processor) and another, usually remote, agent. XForms are the successor to HTML forms.  XForms addresses many of the challenges and limitations of HTML forms and provides richer capabilities to help you as you develop forms for use throughout the submission management process. 

XForms splits traditional XHTML forms into three parts:

1. XForms Model

2. User Interface

3. Instance Data

This separation makes XForms more traceable by making it clear what is being submitted where.  It also eases reuse of forms, since the underlying essential part of a Form is no longer irretrievably bound to the page it is used in.  For a summary of the key benefits of using XForms, please visit XForms Abstract.

8. What is included in GlobalSubmit Version 5?

Our next generation of applications is database-centric.  We have responded to requests from our clients and regulatory agencies for enhanced search capabilities, performance modifications, and interoperability with leading submission management technologies. Version 5 delivers on those key objectives.  GlobalSubmit will soon provide a formal announcement for the launch of V5 with greater details.  Check our event calendar for periodic updates soon.
